Since the launch of Halo 5, fans of the Halo franchise have felt that one of the most core elements of the series, split-screen, has been ignored. Well, finally, we have word from the head of 343 Industries, Bonnie Ross, that ALL FUTURE FIRST PERSON SHOOTER HALO GAMES WILL HAVE SPLIT-SCREEN SUPPORT. I hope you'll excuse the use of caps, but i'm sure most of you will understand that this is very important news.
Playing Halo together with your friends has been core to Halo since day one, and Halo 5 left a lot of fans feeling like their core Halo experience wasn't complete without precious split-screen. Luckily Halo 5 seems like it'll be the only FPS Halo game that will lack split-screen.
Halo Wars 2 is the sequel to Halo Wars, and is the second real time strategy game in the Halo franchise. Halo Wars 2 was developed by both 343 Industries and Creative Assembly, published by Microsoft Studios and released on both Xbox One and PC. Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition released on the 17th February 2017 with the standard edition releasing just a few days later on the 21st February 2017. The game is set in the year 2559, which is 28 years after the events of Halo Wars, and shortly after the events of Halo 5. I will keep this review as spoiler free as possible.
What with Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition launching on Friday 17th, it was safe to assume news about the soundtrack would come about just before launch. Finally, the veil has been lifted and we have a taste of what Halo's signature soundtrack for this new game will be. Composed by Gordy Haab, Brian Lee White and Brian Trifon, with guidance from the Halo Wars 2 Audio Director Paul Lipson, the Halo Wars 2 soundtrack previews prove that Halo still continues to have breathtaking and outstanding music.
It's not long for 343 Industries and Creative Assembly to release the highly anticipated real-time strategy sequel Halo Wars 2. The sequel continues the adventures of the Spirit of Fire and her crew. The new opponent for this title are the brutes, led by Atriox, a fearsome brute commander. Don't believe me, check out the launch trailer below.
After the success of the first Halo Wars 2 Beta, 343 Industriesquickly confirmed there would be a second one. Now the date and game mode for the beta has been revealed. The Halo Wars 2 Blitz Multiplayer Beta will be available from the 20th January to the 30th January.
Blitz mode is a card based strategy style game mode that combines deck building and fast decision making you'd find in a card-based strategy game with the combat and tactics you're used to using in an RTS. The map that will be available in the beta is named "Proving Grounds", and you'll be glad to hear that all progress made in the beta WILL carry over to the final copy of the game. There will also be prizes and such for being part of the beta so don't miss out!
