Konami confirmed today at E3 that it's survival game Metal Gear Survive won't be making it's original 2017 release date and has been pushed back into the already cluttered 2018 release window.
According to Konami, Metal Gear Survive has been pushed back a few months to allow the design team to polish the game.
Die hard fans of Kojima's legacy may be rejoicing at this news as Metal Gear Survive is Konami's first attempt at a Metal Gear game since departing ways with Metal Gear founding father Hideo Kojima.
What information we know about Metal Gear Survive is that the game is based in an alternative universe and is set after the events of MGS: Ground Zeroes and before MGS:Phantom Pain and will see the players character survive the destruction of Mother Base to then be teleported to a strange new world filled with new enemies to fight and ultimately, try to find a way home. MG Survive will also feature a cooperative mode where players will work together to gather weapons and equipment to fend off the creatures that inhabit this world.
