Much like the original source material for the franchise, Resident Evil wont ever seem to die. To be fair with that ability to reinvent and reinvigorate the series it seems to be one of the few franchises that genuinely surprises people. When looking back at the surprises though it has been known to swing from outstandingly brilliant to shockingly disgusting.
When Resident Evil 7: Biohazzard released earlier in 2017, the game was something that appeared out of nowhere and caught people off guard as the series returned to its survival horror roots. The camera angle for the game moved once again from over the shoulder 3rd person to 1st person, this allows you no barrier between you and the horrors that you encounter; now you truly are on the front line.
Today the announcement of the Gold Edition of the latest instalment gives first time buyers something to consider, you will receive the base game as well as all three DLC releases for the game: Banned Footage Vol 1, Banned Footage Vol 2 and the upcoming End of Zoe.
The Gold Edition will release on the 12th December 2012 and on the same day the "Not A Hero" DLC featuring series veteran Chris Redfield will be available for free to all owners of the game.
