Hello everyone!

Some of you may know that today the first XBLGamerhub podcast goes live. I urge all of you take some time to listen to it and give myself and my commander in chief (wizz001) some feedback.

One of the segments is about our favorite achievements that we have gotten over the years of playing. But we want to hear about your achievement stories! This may be your proudest like completing Halo on legendary. Or maybe you and a friend managed to slog through all the spec ops missions on Call Of Duty. Even the down right bizarre, like carrying the gnome prize through dark carnival on Left 4 Dead 2.

Please let us know and give as much detail to why you have chosen. Maybe we'll choose your story for a future podcast, who knows.

My best achievement was finding all the hidden orbs on Crackdown, but i did it 7 TIMES!!! Twice for myself as i had a corrupt save file the first time and i only needed 3 more orbs and 5 more times for other people.. i just love the bing from finding an orb! lol

I remember the most annoying one.. The Gargoyles from Fable 2. Took me a while to realise where the insults were coming from lolol. I managed to get them all tho!

This is great stuff guys. Can’t believe you found all the hidden orbs in crackdown seven times! I remember it being really addictive on the second game but I just never had the patience to get all of them.

As for fable 2 I never got all the gargoyles but I did hear them giving me abuse as well. I was too busy trying to max out all the job professions. But I’m glad both of you stuck with it and got them.

I’m not a huge fan of collectable achievements (probably my second worst behind online achievements) so that’s achievements I don't have.
And that’s exactly what I want to hear. It’s great to hear about how others are remembering their time gaming and how contrasting it can be, but in a good way.

Please keep posting your stories ladies and gents, as I hope to hear some more soon

My favourite achievement has to be from the Simpson’s game, all I had to do was press start. lol no on a serious note I've loved a lot of achievements.

For satisfaction reasons only I would have to say the Battlefield 3 achievement complete warrior where you have to get a kill will a jet, then with a tank and then with your assault rifle; all because I’m pretty poor with a Jet.

For fun it was maybe the dentist achievement from BFBC2, loved killing people with the repair tool. Or like a boss from Battlefield 3, loved that skid loader was a heap of fun. Saints row the third had a few good ones too.

Shadows of the Damned had alot of funny ones, great game if you haven’t played it.

i seem to be the only person finding collectbales fun. iv found all dossiers on mw2 and 3, and only have a few left on cod 4.

also loved la noires travel inticing achievements

Hello Guys, just to confirm some of these WILL appear on the next podcast so keep them coming!!

I always start out with the intention to collect all the collectable but never do. The only one i have ever done is the gargoyle one from Fable 2.

May I ask do people actually look for the collectables or do they get a guide to where they are?

I personally hate guides, I always try to find the items myself if I can.

The use of guides are becoming ridiculous, within hours of a game coming out there are videos, or written guides showing where all the items you need collect are. How can sitting in front of a guide be fun? I have friends that buy a game, find a guide do it in a week and sell it for the next game. Its crazy! They may as well rent the game!

I used a guide for all the orbs in Crackdown and Crackdown 2.. probably the only franchise i have 100% completed so far. My god ive wasted so much of my life looking for those bloody things!!!

i only use guides for ridiculous hard stuff, most games have the clues to find items in front of you. to be fair the hardest ones are the skulls in halo, which require multiple tricks to get to, and hidden items that arnt actualy there eg hidden chests skyrim comes to mind

my main useage of guides is for epic boss battles, when uv died 1000 times and feel like smashing your controller (we've all been there), and thinking god am i the only person who cant do it. actualy my fave guiders are the ign crew who tell you persoanly that theyv struggled 2.

I stopped collecting the orbs in crackdown, far too many of them, I also found them quite hard to hear! They did make a sound when near them didn’t they? Been along time since I played crackdown. Great game though.

Maybe games should implement what prototype 2 did. On the map there was a section for collectables, telling you the rough location for the collectable and then it marked it off when you found it. Cracking idea! Only good thing that game did.

totaly agree madeyepadeye, and crackdown 2 defo made noise but also if u pressed up an dpad a blip map showed orbs
