With just a couple of weeks to go, the Games Britannia Replayed expo is shaping up to be one of the biggest gaming events in the British calendar. Described as “A completely different gaming experience: part cultural festival, part gaming expo, part art exhibition and part educational conference” by the organizers there appears to be something for everyone who is looking to attend.
Based at the Magma Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, the event will boast zones for Nintendo to Sony and my particular favorite, the team behind the increasingly popular, Minecraft EDU Modifications for education. Other zones include, Best Of British, where you can celebrate, play and love British games that will provide a legacy for future generations. GameBritannica, A compendium of gaming knowledge, on every genre from the past 40 years. The greatest ever titles, across the greatest consoles, selected by a panel of experts, designed to spark delight and debate.
The British feel does not stop there, on Saturday the special guests will be the creators and current top wig of the addictive Football Manager series, which celebrates its 30th birthday this year. On the Sunday the producer of the legendary Nintendo 64 game, Goldeneye, will be the special guest along with the man tasked with helping reload Bond for the 21st century.
All in all the event stacks up to be one of the biggest in Britain. If you’re in to gaming of any ilk, and with tickets starting at £10 adult and £8 child the event is not to be missed by any one. With XBL Gamer Hub attending the event we will be bringing you photos and reaction days after the event.
