Day #1 - Eurogamer 2012

The biggest gaming exhibition in Europe, and the biggest event this year for XBLG. Eurogamer day #1 proved to be quite the stressful day for the team after early arrivals this morning at 7am heading straight to the Expo to open at 10.

Long days aren't enough to stop us though! And we hit the floor in force. You can check out our Facebook Photo Album for all the latest pictures of the event with videos, interviews and montages on the way!

Each of the team, of course, has their own agenda, and you've all seen my personal 'hit-list'. We're still urging for those who want info to let us know and we'll strive to deliver. Today, XBLG formalised themselves with the show floor and developer sessions as a warm up for the following 3 days. We did, however, manage to explore a good portion of the floor and all the community inbetween.

The 'Over 18' area appeared to be the highlight today sporting such titles as Tomb Raider, Devil May Cry, Dishonoured, Borderlands 2 and my personal favourite area Resident Evil 6 (Although, not for the game). XBLG hasn't had a massive chance to get our hands on any formal game time however I did check out Lost Planet 3 and our resident boss-man Manjo managed to queue jump straight to the front of the new Halo 4 playable build (Being part of the Xbox Community Network has its perks...). Whilst game-specific details are out of the scope of this simple blog entry, all you members can look forward to some honest, open reviews and opinions on the most anticipated upcoming games. After all, we are just a group of gamers. XBLG run by gamers for gamers.

The tournament area of Eurogamer has been a place for all to check out. Sporting Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Street Fighter IV: Apology Edition, F1 and Pro Evolution Soccer this blogger spent a good portion of his time pitching his skills against the best. There's no better challenge folks, and an invigorating motivational adreneline rush pushes the limits and boundaries of anything you've even remotely resembled as fun before.

With the tournaments out of the way and understanding the Expo itself XBLG are keen on providing all the best starting tomorrow! I'll be hoping to get a closer look at Tomb Raider, Devil may Cry, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Metal Gear Rising: Revengenace to wrap up the majority and most of what's left of the Over 18 areas. XBLG hope to bring you extended and in-depth coverage of these games later on tomorrow evening.

Keep your eyes out! This exhibition is hype!
